Whalecum Pictures, a  series of video installations by Marie Vic, is a conceptual art project that playfully investigates the interstice of art, commerce, and the notion of value within a marketplace. The project consists of re-imagined moments from iconic movies and each scene’s focus on props promoting the fictitious Whalecum Pictures. A select number of these props have been reproduced as commercial merchandise and was made available for a limited time in The Gift Shop.
